I really don't think so, the church and their lay leaders, already knew the stand of Pres. Aquino ( that he is not against Contraceptives...) even before election, and because of this they did not support Pnoy, inspite of their being pro Cory.
The gov't has to do something (should even be drastic...) because of our population and poverty problem ... MDG #1 ( out of 8) is to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger ...
Will the church take Responsibility with those poor families living in poverty? No! it is our government,the Phil gov't. therefore the gov't has to find means ... including providing contraceptives to those who need them, so it is still their choice!(pro choice) unlike the church who only wants the Natural FP method,( the couple has no choice) which to some couples is not applicable to them.
I hope the church will understand that the responsibility of Pres. Aquino is the whole county, regardless of their religion and belief.
